Just Dance

Just Dance

just-dance-humbSometimes if you hear a good beat, you just can’t help but move to it. I know I am always finding myself dancing in weird places like grocery stores at restaurants. I probably get some weird looks from doing this, but I don’t care. It makes me happy.

I’m sure many of you have had a bad day, and put on a good song that made your day just a little bit better. Well this can also work with dancing. If any of you have ever been to a club, can you honestly tell me you can walk away from there not feeling better than you did coming in? Letting the music move you and just not caring about what you are doing can be very liberating. Therefore it can put you in a great mood.

This idea does not only apply to clubs though, or even parties. In fact, nobody has to be around at all. All you need is some upbeat music, and a  lot of space. This is also good if you are self conscious about dancing in front of others.

Besides lifting your spirits, dancing can also have some great health benefits. If you work up a sweat while dancing, you can get a great workout. If you do this regularly you might even be able to lose some weight. This can lead to a greater self confidence, and who knows, maybe you might want to take those moves out of your home, and into the club.

Throw a Party

Throw a Party

throw-a-party-thumbEveryone at one time or another feels the need to cut loose, and not worry about anything. A party is a great way to do this. Parties do not require a special occasion nor to they require you to be old enough to drink. All you need for a party is good friends and a location to have it.

One misconception is that you need to have money to throw a party. You do not need to cater out and worry about decorating the house all fancy if you don’t want to. In fact you don’t even need a house at all. You could reserve a few lanes at the bowling alley and invite all your friends to come bowl for a few hours. The bowling alley is actually a great place to have a party when they are doing cosmic bowling. They replace all the regular lights with black-lights and rotating colored lights, and play dance music. At this point it almost becomes closer to a dance club than a normal bowling alley. (Trust me its also much more fun!)

Bowling Alleys are not the only place to have a party outside the house though. Resterants and campgrounds also make good places to have parties. Be aware of a few things with these locations though. At a resterant you may want to call ahead if you have a large party, so they can have a space ready for you. If not you may have to wait for quite awhile, since they may need to clear a few tables to accommiadate your party. Having a party at a campground can be fun because you get to spend time outdoors, cook your own food over a campfire, and do something different you probabaly don’t do often. However be aware that if you are at a campground where the campsites are close together, neighboring campers might get mad if you are being too loud. So try to find a campground with camp sites that are far apart, and be courteous of your neighbors.

Parties are very social settings. As well as catching up with old friends, you can also make new ones. A great way to do this is to allow each person to invite one guest. Be aware of this though, because if you invite too many people, or someone invites more than one guest, your party can get out of control quickly.

There is nothing really quite like a fun party with good friends. Remember though like everything else there are certian things you need to be aware of, and certian procautions you might need to take. However, if done right, great parties can make memories for years to come, and fun times you may never forget.
